TWO of the latest Ferraris, the California and the 430 Scuderia, have joined the multi-million pound line up for the Hollybrook sports cars Supercar Dream Rides, the finale to the Hillsborough International Oyster Festival, on Sunday September 6.

Mayor of Lisburn City Council, Councillor Allan Ewart with Hillsborough Oyster Festival chairman David Dunlop at the launch of this years events.
The new California mid-front engined 8 cylinder convertible GT, one of the first to be seen in this country, kindly lent by Charles Hurst Specialist Cars, will be part of the Super Duper Car Auction, where the highest bidders will get a run in this 193 mph dream car.
Also joining the Super Duper Car list, is a Ferrari 430 Scuderia. This model, one of only three in Ireland, is the no frills full performance version of the current 430 model.
Only four of the works rally S2 Audi Quattros remain, and one of them will also be in Super Duper Car line up. This is the four-wheel-drive Group B Rally Car that changed the rallying world in the eighties, and this particular car was actually driven by former World Rally Champions Stig Blomqvist and Hannu Mikkola, and by the greatest lady rally driver of all time - Michelle Mouton.
Again the limited rides available in this extraordinary car will go to the highest bidders, but a donation of a minimum of £5 to SAM, (Struggle Against Muscular Dystrophy), the official charity of the Oyster Festival, will pay for a photograph and a short ride in one of the wide selection of Ferraris, Porsches, Aston Martins and other motoring exotica, that will be in Hillsborough that afternoon.
Alan Tyndall of RPM Motorsport, who has organized the Dream Ride afternoon commented: "The late addition of these exceptional Ferraris; the quite exceptional Audi; a Lambourghini; and a beautiful 1931 Invicta, have added enormously to an already quite exceptional entry. Hopefully the public will give generously to SAM, for this `once in a lifetime` opportunity.
"People will however be required to sign a waiver before taking a trip in a Supercar. This will give their consent to become passengers, or their consent to allow their children (minimum age 8 years), or those in their care to become passengers, so absolving the owner drivers of any responsibilities other than those covered by the owners normal car insurance. If the child is under 4ft. 5in in height, their parents or guardians must provide and fit their own booster seat in the supercar."
Tyndall Productions would like to thank the PSNI, Hollybrook Sports Cars, Carsport Magazine, A1 Tyres and all the private owners who are supplying the cars for this charitable purpose.
The Dream Rides are based in the Village Centre car park in Hillsborough, and take place between 2pm and 6pm.
