Civic Centre to host Jubilee thanksgiving service on Sunday

CRAIGAVON Borough Council is hosting a special Diamond Jubilee Thanksgiving Service on Sunday, June 3 starting at 8.15pm in the Civic & Conference Centre.

The service will be conducted by Rev Geoff Wilson, Rector of Shankill Parish Church, Lurgan with guest preacher the Rev Dr Stafford Carson of 1st Portadown Presbyterian.

Music will be let by St Mark’s Silver Band and during the service the Mayor of Craigavon, Councillor Alan Carson will read a message sent by Her Majesty herself.

“The later time is planned to let normal evening services conclude to ensure as many people as possible to come to give thanks for HM The Queen’s 60 years on the throne,” said Mr Carson,

“Places are on a first come first served basis and everyone is welcome to come along to this special service during the weekend’s Diamond Jubilee Celebrations.”
