THE winning pupils in a Mother’s Day drawing competition organised by High Street Mall have received their prizes.

The Mall invited over 40 local schools to participate in the competition called Me and My Mum and an incredible number of 800 entries were received. The judging panel had a lot of hard decisions to make but eventually arrived at the winners.

Tracey Jackson, manager of High Street Mall said, “It was wonderful to receive such a huge number of entries from schools across the Lurgan, Portadown and Craigavon area. The members of the judging panel had an extremely hard task in selecting first, second and third places within each age category.”

Entries were judged on creativity and effort with six pupils awarded High Street Mall vouchers along with their framed portraits. The winning students also won cash prizes for their schools - with Ballyoran, St John’s Gilford, Seagoe, Portadown Integrated, Bocombra and Edenderry all making the final cut.

Ms Jackson added “I would like to thank all of the schools and pupils who participated this year. I am already looking forward to our next school’s competition.”
