Vintage day out at Argory

OVER 400 vintage cars and engines will descend upon the Argory near Moy for the Annual Vintage and Classic Vehicle Rally tomorrow (Saturday).

Over 100 cars such as MGB, Triumph Spitfire, Austin 7, Morris Minor, Wolseley and many more will feature on the day. There will be a number of tractors on display as well as motorcycles such as Jawa, Triumph, BSA and Norton.

One of the many highlights will be the display of stationary engines. The working engines, pumping water and running generators, are testaments to the skills of engineering that still exist today.

You could also visit the Birkenhead exhibition to hear the heroic tales of Captain Shelton, second owner of The Argory. Children can enjoy The Argory treasure trail, make your own pirate hat and other maritime activities.

Gates will open at 12 noon. Normal admission, National Trust members free. For further information on National Trust events visit www.nationaltrust.org.uk/ni
