Crime prevention event in Bleary

PORTADOWN, Brownlow and Lurgan Neighbourhood Policing Team are inviting members of the rural community to attend a crime prevention event at Bleary Young Farmers Hall tonight (Friday).

The event will begin at 7.30pm and representatives from NFU Mututal and St John’s Ambulance will also be in attendance.

Neighbourhood Officers will deliver a presentation on freeze branding cattle and trailer marking and will be available to provide general rural crime prevention advice to individuals or groups.

Constable Healey, Lurgan NPT, said: “We are extending an invitation to all members of the rural community to come along and make the most of the services on offer. We want to help people to protect their homes and property better and reduce the chance of becoming a victim of crime.

“We are also interested in working with residents of rural areas to organise Neighbourhood Watch Schemes which can help to build a more secure and safe community.”
