HAVE a ‘quacking’ day out with all your family and friends at Tannaghmore Garden and Animal Farm’s 18th annual Bird Fair on Saturday.

Thousands flock to this fun-filled event every year to see the fantastic variety of thrilling birds and gorgeous animals on show – from Polish hens and fawn Indian Runner ducks to fluffy Russian Sebastipol geese and guinea fowl you’ll be wowed by the selection of birds on display.

Other exciting activities on the day will include the ever-popular Sheep Dog Display - these magnificent animals will showcase their many talents including rounding up sheep, performing tricks and completing an obstacle course. You can also check out the creative chainsaw carving, archery display, climbing wall, footy sessions, blacksmiths and trade stalls selling some fantastic goodies to take home.

In addition, all animal lovers out there can check out the piglets, kids, goats, lambs, cows, donkeys, ponies and rare breeds at the popular Animal Farm or enjoy a puzzling afternoon getting lost in the maze!

Councillor Ronnie Harkness, chairperson of the leisure services committee, said, “The Bird Fair offers something for everyone – from the most dedicated bird watchers to those with a more general interest in wildlife. With birds from across the globe to rare breeds on the Farm it’s a wonderful opportunity to see these magnificent creatures first hand. Come along for a great family day out!”

With so much to do and see it is an unmissable event – and as it costs just £5 per car.
