Fun day at the rugby club helps three charities

THREE charities are to benefit from a fun day at Portadown Rugby Club which raised £1,700.

The Best Way event, which was held in June, was organised in memory of Andrew Best, a former Portadown Rugby Club player and father-of-two who died of cancer in 2008.

The money will be shared equally between Goal Line Youth Trust, Mountain Bothies Association and Cancer Research.

The organisers, Andrew’s family and friends, have thanked everyone who helped on the day and the Cancer Research volunteers who supplied the salads.
