Funeral directors launch new website

PORTADOWN funeral directors, Ian Milne & Sons has launched a new brand and website with the aim of making it easier for people to compare their service offering online and to chose their means of contact.

The new website, which was designed and produced by Portadown company BNL Productions, takes a more modern approach and has been very much designed with the needs of the customer in mind.

Ian Milne confirmed that a lot of work went into producing a user-friendly and easy to navigate site:

“We were aware of the growing trend for people to access services of all kinds online. With access to the world wide web now so easy for people because of the ever-increasing use of smartphones and tablets such as the iPad, we knew we needed to strengthen our web presence. But it was also important to build the new site in a way that made it easy for people to follow, especially those suffering the extremes of emotion brought on by the often sudden passing of relatives.”

And Ian was also determined to keep the business local:

“Like everyone else who considers getting a website produced or updated, we had a wide choice as to who could do what we wanted. However in these difficult economic times we were determined to use a local, independent company. And we are delighted with the end product provided by BNL Productions.

The new site, www.ianmilneandsons.co.uk, features several helpful sections including one which covers the different requirements when arranging a funeral and another which explains the types of funeral services which are possible. An increasing trend these days is for people to take out pre-paid funeral plans and a further section outlines what is involved in this process.”
