Line-up of Loughshore events
THREE events, organised by the Loughshore Access Project, are taking place this month.
The over 55s, including those who are retired or are nearing retirement age, can avail of talks on talks on lifelong learning, benefit entitlements, volunteering, health and well-being, complimentary therapies and more.
These will be held at Lough Neagh Discovery Centre on Thursday, January 24 from 11am – 2pm. Lunch is included and everyone is welcome.
Places are limited. To book, contact Louise on 3831 7898. Transport can be provided if booked in advance and the building is wheelchair accessible.
On Monday, January 21, advice clinics, given by the Citizens’ Advice Bureau, Warmer Homes and The Benefits Entitlement Unit, will be available for one-to-one appointments at the Loughshore Access Project, Emerson’s Stone Building, Kinnego. To book,contact Louise on 3831 7898.
Warmer Homes will also give a talk at St Mary’s Primary School, Derrymore, on Monday, January 14 at 2.30pm to parents of children attending the school.
Meanwhile, a men’s health event will take place at Milltown Church Hall on Saturday, January 26 from 11am -3pm. Free basic health checks, information and giveaways will be available and, again, everyone is welcome.
