Love Your Church week to conclude

THOMAS Street Methodist Church’s ‘Love Your Church Week’ concludes this weekend with four special events.

Tonight (Friday) there will be a quiz in Wesley Hall, Portmore Street, organised by the Boys’ Brigade, beginning at 7pm, and everyone is welcome.

Tomorrow (Saturday) there will be a concert in the Wesley Hall, starting at 7pm, featuring the Harvesters and Madison Swart, with praise led by Epworth Methodist Praise Team.

The Love Your Church Week ends on Sunday with two special services, at 11am and 7pm. The evening service will be led by the local branch of the Salvation Army with testimony by Captain Scott Cunliffe.

Refreshments will be available following all these events. Further information can be obtained from Eddie Drury on 07866 273 306.

Meanwhile First Portadown BB Old Boys Association’s annual church service takes place next Sunday, February 24 in Thomas Street Methodist Church, beginning at 7pm.

The speaker will be the Rev David Neilands, chaplain of Methodist College, Belfast and a former member and officer of First Portadown Boys’ Brigade.

All members of the association as well as all the past and present BB members, are invited to the service.
