Dancing for the Queen...

THE last afternoon tea dance in the current season for the town’s over-50s will take place at Carleton Street Orange Hall on Thursday, May 31 - and it will have a special Queen’s Jubilee flavour.

It is, as ever, from 2.15 to 5pm and under the auspices of the Carleton Over 50s Club. Music is by E.J. Erick and everyone is welcome.

It will, of course, have special significance as most - if not all - the dancers will remember the ascension to the throne of Queen Elizabeth II in 1952.
