Road project

WORK on a £150,000 resurfacing scheme for the Tandragee Road in Portadown is due to start next week.

The work is due to begin on Monday between Brackagh Moss Road and Mahon Road, with expected completion date on Saturday, February 2.

In order to meet health and safety regulations and to help minimise traffic disruption, the road will be closed for two weeks from Monday to February 2.

During this period road users coming from Portadown will be diverted via Brackagh Moss Road, Brackagh Road and Tandragee Road.

Traffic going towards Portadown will be diverted via Mahon Road and Armagh Road. These diversion routes will be clearly signed to assist road users. Motorists are advised to allow extra time when planning journeys and to keep in mind that planned dates are subject to weather conditions.

Minister Danny Kennedy said, “This scheme is a significant investment in the local roads network. Roads Service has made every effort to manage these necessary works to minimise inconvenience to the public.”
