EMMA ROBINSON
PUPILS of Millington Primary School appreciated the work of Y7 teacher Mrs. S. Evans for organising a fun but athletic day.
All around the Millington premises activities were underway, such as: Tug o’ war, Cross Country and everyone’s favourite – the bouncy castle obstacle course! A few pupils commented, “It was fan-dabbie-do! It was awesome! Do it again next year!” Jack Trotter said. “I loved it!” said Georgia Lavery.
This Sport Relief cause goes to places like Africa and Uganda to give money to hospitals or to wells. A pupil said “It’s a worthwhile cause and people should give what they can,” expressed Emma Robinson.
On the green in the Primary two playground, a tug o’ war match was occurring. I asked one of the competitors who they thought would win, “The girls will win! Come on the girls said Alex Chan- Taylor. This event occurred on the 23rd March, 2012. As well as having fun there was a sad part to the day. They all realised that they may be having fun, but other people in Uganda and Africa could not be having fun. They could be suffering or begging on the streets for one little bit of food, or even a bit of money so they can buy something to eat. Mrs Evans later said “This cause is vital for the people of Africa and Uganda to receive this money so they can survive.”
Also photos were taken of the 23rd of March 2012 and made into a Power Point, so everyone could see how much fun we had. Everyone enjoyed this day and gave as much money as they could.
