ERIN HADDOCK

THIS was our very first league match and it was also a friendly match.

We all started off with our stretches and then when Ballyoran arrived we all got into our positions and started the match. The Ballyoran coach tossed a coin to see who would get the ball first and we did. Orla Curran was centre so that meant that she started off with the ball. The players in our team were Orla Curran, Erin Haddock (me), Aine Mcgrane, Fola Hagan Fontez and Megan O Neill. The subs were Molly Murphy Grace Hagan and Caitlin McGrane. The result was 21-2. We were so glad that we got a really high score but so sad for the other team when they only scored 2. This match was great fun to play. The girl of the match was Orla Curran and we all knew she would get it because she is so good at netball. She won a medal for that. We got the first goal by Orla passing it to Megan and Megan passing it to me. I sent it to Orla and she forwarded it to Fola and Fola passed it into the net. We were so pleased when Ballyoran got the ball and scored. We all cheered for them because we knew that they wouldn’t beat us at this stage. I think our next match is after Easter. This netball match was really fun to play.
