PAUL FLYNN

OUR match against Armstrong P.S. Armagh was played at the Hart Memorial P.S. Portadown on 22nd March.

When we got on the pitch we did stretches and hit some corners in. When the match started we dominated the first half but we missed lots of chances. Five minutes to the second half Armstrong’s forward came close to scoring a goal but half time seen no score.

When the second half started Josh Bush, centre back, came close to scoring but just curled it and hit the post. After this Andrew Wilson and Michael O’Neill came off and were replaced by subs Cahal McGinty and Ryan McGuckin. It was hard trying to score past the Armstrong goalkeeper as the second half was over the score was still 0-0. It went to ten minutes of extra time with nothing exciting happening for the first five minutes. The only threat in the second half of extra time was the Armstrong forward 1 on 1 where he hit it wide so it went into penalties. We won 4-2 when Tom Weir, Cahal mc ginty, Josh Bush and Dillon Hughes scored the penalties.
