OXFAM Ireland’s Portadown shop is holding a special open evening tonight (Friday), with the event offering 25 per cent off for a limited time.

Oxfam Portadown shop manager Agnes Quinn said, “We recently undertook our seasonal stock changeover and so having an open evening provides a great way of inviting the public along to view – and purchase! – the good quality, affordable clothing on offer. With a VAT-busting 25 per cent off the fashions, customers are getting an even better deal.

“Fashionistas will certainly not be disappointed by the numerous designer and top-end collectable labels we have on show for both women and men of all ages. The range includes formal wear, retro gear and fashion wear perfectly in vogue for the new spring/summer season. The wide variety of donations received means you’re likely to find what you’re looking for or even a hidden gem.”

The money raised goes to Oxfam’s important long-term livelihoods programmes and emergency humanitarian work – all the more necessary at this time with the developing food crisis in West Africa.

She added, “If you have things taking up space in your closets and shelves that you don’t really need any more, why not Make Space for Oxfam and drop them into your local Oxfam Portadown shop. Oxfam really needs the things you don’t. By donating to Oxfam, you’ll be freeing up space in your life and making a real difference to people living in poverty.

The Oxfam open evening takes place tonight at 2 High Street, Portadown from 6 to 9pm. All are welcome.
