ARMAGH painter Seamus Duffy makes a welcome return to his home city's Market Place Theatre next Thursday (November 13).
He is appearing in conjunction with the William Kennedy Piping Festival to exhibit a new collection of his paintings in which he further explores aspects of Irish life and endeavours to capture ‘People In Their Places’ by depicting moments in time captured from the world around us.

The piping festival celebrates the life and work of William Kennedy, the 18th century piper, pipe-maker and inventor who was born in 1768 near Banbridge and died in 1834 in Tandragee. This festival, originally conceived to bring together pipers from different countries and traditions, was the first of its kind anywhere in northern Europe. To date the event has attracted performers from Spain, France, Italy, Bulgaria, Hungary, Belarus, Canada, USA, England, Scotland, and Wales as well as the cream of Irish pipers.

The Duffy exhibition runs from Friday, November 14 to Sunday, December 7. Admission is free.
