THE Lyric Theatre in Belfast has launched its summer programme for young people who aspire to tread the boards when they're older.
Aimed at young people aged between 7 and 17 year olds, participants create new plays and learn all about the world of theatre.

Financial support from Belfast Harbour provided bursaries for 16 children across Belfast and has enabled young people mainly from areas of social need to participate in the programme. The Lyric's summer programmes last for either one or two weeks and those interested can register for one or two weeks for 11 to 13 year olds and 14 to 17 year olds.

The summer programme, which is based at St Bartholomew's Church Hall on the Stranmillis Road in Belfast, costs £99 per week. For further information about dates, times, age groups and to register, phone 028 9038 5674, email summerprogramme@lyrictheatre.co.uk or
