Mary Black marks 25 years at top

MARY Black will be performing at Belfast's Waterfront Hall on Sunday, June 8.
With 2008 being the 25th anniversary of her first solo album, Dara Records are celebrating that milestone by releasing a special compilation double CD - 25 Years, 25 Songs.

The album went straight to number one in the Irish album charts, and is no
w in its fourth week in the top spot.

It contains 25 songs spanning that quarter-of-a-century and widely considered to be her most popular recordings. Four of the older recordings were specially re-mixed for this new compilation and all the tracks have been fully remastered from the original master tapes.

Mary has also recorded two brand new songs which are included in the compilation, ‘Sweet Love’ and ‘If I Had To Go’.

Her June 8 Waterfront gig Mary is part of a tour of Ireland in celebration of her career.

Doors at the Waterfront open at 7pm and tickets (£30 and £27.50 including booking fee) are available from The Waterfront Hall box office, phone 028 9033 4455. The booking line is open from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Saturday.
