A NEW dance school is starting soon in Portadown, with a variety of classes for teenagers and adults running in Portadown Town Hall.
The Helen Cadwallader School of Dance begins on Friday, May 9, with an adult beginners class running from 7-8pm and costing £4.50 per class.

On Wednesday, May 14, children and teenagers aged 10 to 19, will have a chance to try out their dancing skills at a beginners class from 6.30 until 7.30 - the cost is £4.

Dance disciplines covered include ballroom, old time, Latin-American, mambo, salsa, rock ‘n’ roll, line dancing, jive and disco and medal tests are available.

Helen is a fully qualified professional in all categories and is a former East Midlands champion. She has lectured at Loughborough University and, thanks to her choreography skills, she recently helped bring a senior school in Ballymena to the runner-up position in a Rock Challenge competition.

Helen is part of the Allied Dancing Association and Guild of Professional Teachers of Dance. Her aim is to make dancing fun and anyone who would like to find out more can contact her on 028 3839 9930 or 07749031761
