The search is on for talent to perform in West Side Story

MOYRAVERTY Arts & Drama Society based at the St Anthony's Centre, Craigavon, are set to perform the academy award winning musical West Side Story, and are looking for budding actors and singers to take part.
There will be a registration/audition meeting taking place on Sunday, April 6 at 7pm to 9pm, held at the St Anthony's Centre. You must be aged 13 years and over to be in this cast. Please note rehearsals will not start to take place until the end of June and continue during the
The performances will take place on Friday, August 29, Saturday, August 30, Sunday, August 31, Friday, September 5, with the final show on Sunday, September 7.
West Side Story is a electrifying musical which tells the story of Romeo and Juliet against a backdrop of urban violence in 1950's New York. One of the first musicals to take place in the inner city and address such serious issues as racism, gang warfare and disillusionment with the American Dream.
It has been a busy time for the Moyraverty Arts & Drama Society over the last 15 months. They have produced a range of shows including; The Sound Of Music, Dirty Dancing, Grease, High School Musical and Joseph.
New members are now welcome to come along and join the cast for this production. If you think you can perform as one of the principal characters you will be asked to sing one of their songs from the show, or if you want to appear as a chorus member then please come along to the registration meeting on April.
