A third year pupil at Drumcree College has won two art prizes in separate competitions.

Bruno Serrado’s painting of a fireworks scene won him a top prize in the Irish League of Credit Unions poster competition.

The young artist was one of 30 winners chosen from more than 30,000 entries across Ireland. He was presented with his 300 euro prize at a ceremony in Croke Park by TV personality Marty Whelan and Martin Sisk, president of the credit union.

Bruno was accompanied by his mum, aunt and teachers Anita McGibbon and Geraldine Al Janabi, as well by Bernadette McGinnell of Portadown Credit Union.

Another of Bruno’s drawings was selected for inclusion in this year’s PSNI social networking calendar.
