Proceeds will go towards the church and Rachel’s place and Amy’s creche, an orphanage and school in Lesotho, Africa.

They were built and are managed by local couple Dave and Valerie Bailey who live in South Africa and oversee the running of the house and school.

They also look after the inhabitants of the small surrounding village, helping them to help themselves. They have recently, with the help of five men from Ahorey and Fivemiletown, built a new church for the growing congregation.

As well as the flower displays, there will be musical items throughout both days, performed by members of the congregation and youth organisations as well as Rodney Spence, organist of Armagh Road Presbyterian, and local councillor and gospel singer Paul Berry.

The flower festival is co-ordinated by Mrs Linda Lyons and the theme is ‘Let there be light’.

For anyone who may have ancestors from Ahorey, there will be members of the congregation available to chat and answer any questions.

Teas, lunches and high teas are available and bookings are welcome. For further inquiries and bookings contact Wendy Morgan on 028 3887 0690.
