Cracking holiday events in Armagh

SPRING into action and enjoy a cracking Easter at some of Armagh finest visitor attractions with a range of family activities planned to suit all ages and offering fantastic value for money.

Pay a visit to Saint Patrick’s Trian where you can ‘Eggs-press Yourself’ with some amazing themed activities for families from Friday, April 6 – Tuesday, April 10. Make your very own Easter decoration, take part in an Easter egg hunt and in an inflatable ball pool collect as many eggs as you can in your Easter basket.

Meet Robbie the Rabbit, who has special treats for everyone and see the real bunnies for yourself. Relax and enjoy a screening of the film ‘Hop’. This event runs from 10am to 5pm each day except on Sunday (12noon to 5pm).

And turning to a celebration of all things chocolate, enjoy Chocolate Memories Family Fun at Saint Patrick’s Trian on Monday, April 9 from 11am to 5pm where you can take a tour through the art of the chocolatier, enjoy the film ‘Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory’ and make your own Easter chocolates.

Not to be missed is the Gruffalo’s Easter Trail at the Navan Centre from April 7 to April 10. Create your very own Gruffalo themed headpiece and accompany the mouse as he takes you on a trail through the grounds to meet with the snake, the fox and the owl. Complete some tasks along the way and finally arrive at the Gruffalo’s woodland hideaway where he is about to enjoy afternoon tea. The Gruffalo has Easter party bags for all the children to enjoy.

The enchanting Easter Bunny Garden Room is also jam packed with crafts and activities for all to take part in. Complete your day with a walk to the top of Navan Fort and carry on the tradition of rolling your egg down the ancient Fort. The centre is open daily from 10am to 7pm and recommended last admission is 5.30pm.
