Lowden guitar exhibit in Saint Patrick’s Trian

THE history of the world-famous Lowden guitar is the subject of a special exhibition in Saint Patrick’s Trian, Armagh next month.

August craft month celebrates craft ‘Made in Northern Ireland’ and covers all mediums in exhibitions, demonstrations and workshop etc, but the highlight of the event is the exhibition on the Lowden history, a history dating back to 1974, when founder George Lowden founded the company.

Lowden guitars are made with the highest levels of craftsmanship and with a passion and commitment which is second to none. The guitars are played by many world renowned musicians including Eric Clapton and Snow Patrol.

On August 10 at 7.30pm, company founder, George Lowden, will personally open the exhibition and will give a talk on the history and craft behind the making of this wonderful instrument. For guitar lovers this is an opportunity not to be missed, admission is free of charge, but places are limited so call to book your place.
