Mahon Methodist Church is holding a coffee morning this Saturday, June 13, from 9am-1pm to help raise funds for a vital project in Africa.

Michael Quin and Judith Proctor from the congregation are going to Uganda with ‘Fields of Life’ in July.

Michael will be part of a team officially opening three wells which the team have funded, providing clean drinking water for over 1,000 people.

He is also visiting Maranatha Primary School where the team will be teaching children about health care and running a Good News Club.

Judith’s team will be based in Star Parents Primary School in Mubende for a week before moving on to Tanaga Primary School in Kyenjojo. Judith will be part of a small team of teachers, while others in the team will be involved in health care, music, drama and sport.

Staff and parents in both schools will have the opportunity to be involved in a Christianity Explored programme. All proceeds from the Mahon coffee morning will go to support these ongoing projects. Everyone welcome.
