DANCERS of all ages and from all areas have been filling the Town Hall this week for the annual Portadown Folk Dancing Festival.
This is the 70th anniversary of the Irish dancing festival and, to mark the occasion, every competitor will receive a special anniversary medal.
The festival, which has been running all week, will end on Monday with the Primary School Section, for children who have learned to dance in school.
Tomorrow night (Saturday), is dedicated to the senior section (17 years and over) with solo dancing and team dancing on display.
The musicians for this year's event are pianists Rose Murray and Margot Brown, fiddlers Iain Mackay and Niall McClean, and accordionist Leslie Craig.
The adjudicator is Mrs Maree Houston from Ballymena and the festival secretary is Mrs Colette McGeown.
