A host of country music stars are making their way to the Seagoe Hotel, Portadown on Friday, May 16 for a special charity dance for Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice.

Kicking off at 8pm, the night will also see the launch of Francis Donnelly’s debut album ‘Within My Father’s Arms’.

Uncle Hugo Duncan, The Ryan Turner Band, Murial Day, Cork based band Crystal Swing and Gary Gamble aka Daniel O Double (plus many others) will join Francis in taking to the stage to raise much needed funds for the charity.

“My debut album has come about after a journey of good and bad times. Recording this album was always a dream until my parents put up the financial backing which I am so grateful for,” said Francis.

“The album has a mixture of songs which will appeal to everyone and for this I have to thank my producer Joe McNamee.”

After sharing the stage with names like Johnny McEvoy, Paddy Reily, Brendan Grace and performing on the social dancing scene across the UK and Ireland, Francis decided the time was right to record his first ever album.

Speaking on behalf of Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice, Jenay Doyle said, “We would like to sincerely thank John Wilson who along with Francis is organising this event for our charity.

“We would also like to say a special thank-you to all the acts who are performing at this special charity dance. It costs £3 million to run our services each year and with limited government funding, we heavily rely on voluntary donations to enable us to keep supporting local life-limited children and their families living across Northern Ireland. “

Admission to this special night of dancing and craic is £10.
