Guests at a Christmas dinner at Killicomaine Community Centre were served by a team of elves in a festive gesture byAsda.

Members of Ballyoran Over 50s Club, the Edgarstown’s Residents Group as well as Killicomaine members had joined together for a three-course festive feast, a visit from Santa and a disco.

The event was given some extra sparkle when Asda Portadown staff, led by community life champion Elaine Livingstone, turned up to serve dinner and deliver gifts.

Neil Robinson, chair of the Killicomaine Jubilee Club, said, “We are incredibly grateful to Asda, the council and also to other bodies who support us, for helping us with the event and the Asda elves who brought the festive spirit to life.

“Events like this encourage positive community engagement, and allow older people from across Portadown to socialise and get involved in a community project – therefore enhancing the area as a whole.”
