Richhill Methodist Church travelled south to Dublin on Sunday to record at the RTÉ studio.

Around thirty members of the congregation made the journey to the RTÉ Television Centre in Donnybrook to record a service, which will be broadcast in May. The recording will be aired on RTÉ’s ‘Service on Sunday’ programme, and will be visible and audible right across the world.

“People tune into this programme - both on their televisions and radios - in all parts of the world,” shared director, Michael Sweeney.

“A few months ago, we had an email from two men working in Siberia who were so grateful to see faces from back home in their native Tollymore while they work so far away!”

Various members of the church participated in the service, which took several hours to record, alongside Reverend Nick McKnight, with prayers, readings and a lyrical dance.

The programme will be broadcast at 11:10am on RTÉ One, and 11:45am on Radio 1 RTÉ on Sunday, May 17. You can also tune in at www.rte.ie/live
