-Go-2-Tender' advice for local businesses

ABC Council have partnered with InterTradeIreland to host public sector tendering information sessions.

A phenomenal 120 businesses from across the borough have taken advantage of the free ‘Go-2-Tender’ information sessions hosted by the council.

All the workshops to date have been fully booked, an indication that traders in this region have a strong appetite for winning public sector business.

The workshops are suitable for local businesses that are looking into public procurement as a possible future option, and particularly for those looking to pick up some of the smaller but very worthwhile new business contracts that SMEs are best placed to win due to their largely innovative nature and nimble approach.

‘Go-2-Tender Lite’ is a practical half-day workshop aimed specifically at small business owners and sole traders that have never completed a tender before or want to improve their basic tendering skills. Designed to minimise time away from the business, the Level 1 workshops focus on demystifying the procedures around pitching for and winning ‘below threshold’ (below £30K or €25k) work that Local Authorities and other Government Bodies/Agencies contract out.

The council will organise further workshops according to demand. For more information contact Economic Development on 0300 0300 900 or email: [email protected].
