The Hot And Spicy in Craigavon has been consistently providing authentic Indian cuisine over two decades.

It is one of Northern Ireland’s longest running curry houses - open since 1997.

Customer service is at the heart of the business. It offers a rewards programme to returning online customers that could receive £5 off a minimum £15 order through a points based offer.

They undertake several sponsorships throughout the year, which has included local football teams, youth clubs and charities.

A growing business, 2016 has been a success for Hot & Spicy, with turnover up by 35%, which is a record first in all 15 years of trading.

A spokesperson for Hot and Spicy said: “The Hot & Spicy team has worked hard to ensure we offer a fantastic menu using high quality ingredients and an unrivalled customer service. We feel the hard work has been rewarded thanks to our record breaking year and if we win the award for Best British Takeaway in Northern Ireland, it would be the cherry on top of a brilliant 2016.”

In total, 110,000 members of the public voted in the British Takeaway Awards

The BTAs - which are run in association with Just Eat (www.just-eat.co.uk), are about celebrating the diverse range of cuisines and rewarding the amazing contribution a nation of takeaway owners make to both their local communities and the economy.

In total, 16 awards will be presented on December 5. Each of the 13 regional winners will receive £1,000 and free sign up to Just Eat or their sign up fee refunded if they are already a partner. One of the 13 will be extra lucky as they will win the coveted award for Best British Takeaway in Britain and also receive a cheque for £5,000. There are also awards for Takeaway Chef and Delivery Driver of the Year.
