Passenger numbers on the Portadown train line have increased by nine per cent during the last year, according to new statistics.
Passengers satisfaction levels are also at 85 per cent during 2014/15.
Translink exceeded performance targets for service reliability achieving a score of 100% across NI Railways, Ulsterbus and Metro according to independent research.
NI Railways also met its ‘on time’ targets, attaining scores of 98 per cent for punctuality of local services and 99 per cent for long haul services. However, punctuality for Ulsterbus has dipped slightly below target.
Gerard McAtarsney, Portadown line route manager for Translink, said, “NI Railways continues to perform very well. Our customers continue to be pleased with the service, as well as the levels of comfort and staff helpfulness.”
