A mother has called on dog owners to clean up their act after finding dog excrement in a children’s play park in Portadown.

Kirsty Wilding, who has two dogs, said she is “fed up” with lazy dog owners who don’t clean up after their pets.

“I have two dogs myself and I walk them two or three times a day and guess what, I clean it up, It’s not hard,” said Kirsty. “There are lots of dog bins everywhere and doggy bags cost pennies and are readily available. Would I go and poo beside your front door? No, Why? Because its dirty and everyone would talk about you!! So why do people think its OK for dog poo?

“Today I have even seen dog poo in the kids’ play park in Rectory Park. People are so lazy they would leave that for a kid to find. For people who don’t know, this can make kids blind. Clean up after your dogs.”
