A three month driving ban was imposed on a Lurgan man last Wednesday at Craigavon Magistrates Court for two motoring offences.

Michael Evans (22), Drumnamoe Gardens, Lurgan, was fined £100 and banned for three months for using a mobile phone while driving.

Another £100 fine and three month disqualification were imposed for not having a driving licence. Evans did not appear in court and was convicted in his absence.

The court was told that he was seen using his mobile phone while driving in Derry Street, Lurgan, at 4.30pm on January 15 last year.
