A watermains replacement programme is set to be carried out in Craigavon by NI Water, it has been revealed.
The firm also said it will be carrying out drainage improvement work in Portadown.
Dr Steve Blockwell, NI Water’s Head of Strategic Investment Planning, said: “We were very proud to outline investment worth some £10.1 million in the Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon area over the current financial year, which represents part of a cumulative capital investment in the area of £31 million since 2013.
“This substantial investment is prioritised to protect the local environment, reduce the risk of flooding and help ensure our customers have an uninterrupted clean water supply, particularly over the forthcoming winter period.”
Upgrades to wastewater facilities in Donaghcloney and Milford have recently been completed.
