AN 11-year-old boy had a surprise Christmas present when his name was drawn as the winner of the annual Craigavon Cardiac Care Association draw.

Adam Donnelly, who lives in Armagh, was treated to a ticket by his grandad.

And it was Adam’s dad Ashton who accompanied him to collect his winning cheque.

The draw, which had a total of 52 prizes, raised approximately £15,000 for cardiology research in Craigavon Area Hospital.

A full list of winners is available to view in Craigavon Area Hospital and Portadown Health Centre.

Rodney Wiggins, honorary secretary of the association, said, “The draw has been running now for over 40 years. I would like to thank everyone who bought tickets and those who donated the prizes. We are a voluntary group and all support is greatly appreciated.”
