Final auditions for junior stars

The competition is open to anyone aged between 8 and 15 years old who live within the Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon Council area.

Show producer Kieran Corr said, “The Junior Stars In Your Eyes is an open competition for anyone to come along and perform as any pop star or pop group or as a musical theatre star of your choice. The pop star can be from any era and the musical star must be a principal character from any show.

“It is open to solo singers, duets and groups. So far some of the tribute acts to qualify include Katy Perry, Little Mix, Taylor Swift, Rachel Platton, Anna and Elsa from Frozen Marie from West Side Story and Annie from the musical Annie.”

Mr Corr added, “It will be interesting to see who will win this year’s competition. Last year’s winner was Lurgan Girl Aoibhin Mitchell.”

The open auditions are on Sunday, May 8, at the Brownlow Community Hub between 2pm to 30pm. The grand final will take place on Sunday, May 15, at Lurgan Town Hall with a 6.30pm start.

There will be prizes for the top five acts.
