Taking place just off Gilford’s Plantation Road, the venue is hardly a likely choice for a music festival - but it hasn’t been slow to gather followers from across the country.

The festival is back for its third year, after establishing itself among artists and music fans alike. Kicking off on Saturday afternoon, Our Back Yard will feature an eclectic line-up of performers, including Big Chief and Portadown artist, Katharine Philippa.

Our Back Yard is the brainchild of Sarah Champ, who first ran the festival in 2014. Sarah first dreamed up the idea when she became employed in the music department at Southern Regional College.

“The inspiration came from HND year 2 students,” Sarah shared. “They wanted to do a live concert and I thought, “Let’s have it in my yard!””

Visitors can enjoy a mix of craft stalls and gourmet food alongside the music.

The festival runs from 3pm to 11pm. Visit ourbackyard.co.uk or search Facebook.
