Give views on suicide plan

Local residents will be able to help shape Northern Ireland's suicide prevention strategy at a community session on Wednesday, October 26.

It will be held at 2pm in Craigavon Civic Centre.

An average of 274 people die by suicide each year in Northern Ireland and many more are affected by suicidal thoughts at some point in their lives.

The strategy aims to gain a better understanding of suicidal behaviour and improve the identification of and response to such behaviour.

It also aims to prevent suicide, support recovery from suicidal behaviour and repeat self-harming, and support those bereaved by suicide.
