Good Samaritan attacked after trying to help man in Lurgan

A man who was acting as a Good Samaritan ended up being attacked as he tried to help an injured victim.

The Good Samaritan may need stitches after the assault in the early hours of yesterday morning in Lurgan.

The incident happened at around 2am on Sunday in North St car park.

It is understood that this man’s ‘bad facial cut’ will probably require stitches.

A PSNI spokesperson said: “A male who was trying to be a Good Samaritan and assist another assaulted male ended up being assaulted himself, resulting in a bad facial cut that will probably require stitches.
