Hottest day of the year, but weather is due to worsen

The highest temperature in the Province today was recorded at 26.2 degrees in Castlederg in Co Tyrone.

For the second consecutive day Northern Ireland enjoyed the hottest of the year so far, though the weather is set to take a turn for the worse with a severe weather warning for heavy rain and thunder storms on Saturday.
