Investigation continues into death of man at farm

An investigation is continuing into the death of a man at a farm outside Portadown yesterday.

It is believed the man fell 15 feeet from the framework of a farm shed onto a concrete floor.

The emergency services were called to the scene at the Derrycarne Road farm where a contractor was in the final stages of building the shed.

Work had been continuing since September on the structure which was about a week from completion when the man tumbled from the steelwork to his death.

His workmate – who also fell from the frame – was injured.

The Northern ireland Health and Safety Exective were again on the scene on today (Wednesday).
