People of town so warm and friendly
FROM Hayley, Derbyshire
I just felt that I had to write to share this with you. I flew over from England on July 25 with my two children to see my sister who lives in Portadown as she is emigrating to new Zealand. We went to the shopping mall on the Saturday and some local characters were their, Eric and Ern. My daughters were delighted that they had their face painted for free and they were approached by a lovely lady to see if they wanted their photo taken for the Portadown Times, with Eric and Erin and some other children.
My children thought this was wonderful and although we were only visiting for a week they even got a goody bag, my kids had a whale of a day.
The point of me writing was to say from the moment we landed and went to Portadown I have never come across such wonderful people, kind, gentle and customer service is second to none in all the shops.
The Irish people are so warm and friendly and go that extra mile. We had a wonderful week and the children being photographed for the Portadown Times topped it off. My sister brought the paper for me to send it over and it arrived today. Thank you Ireland and especially Portadown for such a lovely week, I wish more people were like that.
