The court heard that the offences came to light when he was stopped by a police mobile patrol at the Northway, Portadown.

Mr Brendan Hagan, representing the defendant, said Byars had bought the car the previous month with the intention of carrying out repairs and selling it.

He explained that it was a 2002 vehicle and should not have been on the road.

Byars had bought from a friend of a friend.
