Portadown’s Got Talent will light up Portadown Plaza tonight (Friday) with an array of talent taking to the stage!
The free event has been organised to celebrate the start of the transformation of Portadown’s Peoples Park and will be a night not to miss!
Hosted by John Daly, the talent show will kick off the evening’s festivities at 6pm with competitors hoping to impress the high profile judges – Boyzone’s Shane Lynch, UTV’s Julian Simmons, the lovely Rachel Kennedy and local personality Dwaine Smyth from the Meat Cleaver.
The 12 acts taking part in the show include singers, guitarists, violinists, pianists, dancers, rappers, magician, theatre performer and a comedy act.
This will be followed by a fantastic live concert featuring X Factor winner, Matt Cardle. The handsome Matt, who has released three albums since his X Factor victory in 2010, will bring an array of successful hits, including some of his UK Top 40 singles.
As well as that, much-loved local bands, Microlip and Silhouette, will take to the stage to play all of your favourite tracks.
Auditions were held on June 12, where a huge range of acts were narrowed down to the twelve which will go head-to-head at the show tonight.
This event has been organised by Craigavon Borough Council in partnership with the Peace Builders Consortium, and launches the ‘Part of the People’s Park’ initiative. It is managed by the Southern Partnership’s ‘Investing in Our Future’ priority supported by the European Union’s PEACE III Programme, managed by the Special EU Programmes Body.
Come along to Portadown Plaze at 6pm tonight for an evening’s entertainment for all ages.
