Drugs found in Portadown man’s car

Arrests

Arrests

A 28 year old man was fined £75 last Wednesday at Craigavon Magistrates Court for a drugs offence.

Damien McAlinden, Ballynery North Road, Portadown, admitted unlawful possession of cannabis on September 14.

He was also ordered to pay a £15 offender’s levy.

The court heard that when police stopped a car at Tannaghmore they noticed a strong smell coming from inside the vehicle.

McAlinden handed over cannabis valued at £25 which he said was for his own use.

His solicitor said he co-operated with the police and made a full admission.
