Failed to comply with probation

A 49-year-old man who failed to comply with probation orders was given suspended prison sentences last Friday at Craigavon Magistrates Court.

Paul Christopher Withers, Sloan Street, Lurgan, had been put on probation for 18 months on November 18 last year.

But he failed to attend a number of appointments and the probation service asked the court to revoke the orders.

For disorderly behaviour on June 13 he was sentenced to three months in prison and given a concurrent one month term for indecent behaviour. Four month terms were imposed for disorderly behaviour, unlawful possession of cannabis and resisting police on September 19.

The four month sentences are to run consecutively to the three month terms making a total of seven months in custody. The sentences were suspended for two years.
