Fined for having defective tyres
Both front tyres of a car driven by a 23-year-old man were found to be defective when inspected by police.
Joshua Dean Drake, The Grange, Lurgan, was fined £50 on each of two charges of having defective tyres on his vehicle on February 27 this year. He was also fined £50 for failing to produce his licence.
Last Wednesday’s sitting of Craigavon Magistrates Court heard there was no tread over three quarters of the surface of the front nearside tyre. A barrister representing the defendant said the reason he did not produce his licence was that he had misplaced it.
He had sorted out the tyres.
