POLICE in Portadown have charged two people with offences following the recovery of cannabis, an imitation firearm and other offensive weapons on Tuesday afternoon.
Around 4.40pm police received a report of a disturbance involving a male and female on High Street. Police officers attended the scene and the pair were apprehended.
Cannabis with an estimated street value of £1,200, an imitation firearm, knife, metal bar, screw driver and hammer were recovered by officers.
The 37-year-old male and 38-year-old female were both charged to appear before Craigavon Magistrates’ Court.
